Who Are Guardians?

“Not only is it good for the land, good for the economy, but more importantly, good for people.” Guardians are at the heart of Indigenous land and water stewardship, but their work transcends conservation. Guardians programs have a massive return on investment – they create sustainable jobs in remote communities and they are helping revitalize culture. They are also helping to offer healing from the scars of colonization for the Guardians themselves and their communities. But don’t just take our word for it…hear from Guardians themselves on what it means to be a Guardian, and why that work is helping to build a better future for us all.
