Who Are Guardians?
“Not only is it good for the land, good for the economy, but more importantly, good for people.” Guardians are at the heart of Indigenous land and water stewardship, but their work transcends conservation. Guardians programs have a massive return on investment – they create sustainable jobs in remote communities and they are helping revitalize culture. They are also helping to offer healing from the scars of colonization for the Guardians themselves and their communities.
